The Zenbook 14 OLED (2024) is consistently praised for its exceptional OLED display — reviewers repeatedly call it one of the best laptop screens they’ve seen, noting deep blacks, wide DCI-P3 coverage, high peak brightness for HDR, and adaptive high refresh rates (many mentions across reviews). Reviewers also highlight premium design and build quality, with an all‑metal chassis, sturdy hinge, thin/light portability and good speakers noted frequently. Performance is often described positively for everyday productivity and improved integrated graphics (multiple mentions), and the keyboard/trackpad receive strong praise for typing feel, travel, and a large, accurate glass trackpad. Battery life, connectivity (including Thunderbolt/USB4 and HDMI), and overall value are also commonly mentioned as strengths across the reviews.

Criticisms center on performance and thermals for sustained heavy workloads: many reviewers report heat, thermal limits, inconsistent high‑load performance and some frame drops in demanding tasks. Design complaints include fan noise under load and that the finish attracts fingerprints and smudges, while webcam quality and some speaker/port placement choices drew repeated negative notes. Reviewers also flagged limited upgradability and soldered RAM/limited SSD slots, occasional software/bug issues, and concerns about OLED downsides (glossy reflections and burn‑in risk) in several reviews.
