Yoga Slim 7i (2024)

Reviewer verdict

Across 11 YouTube reviews, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i (2024) earns an Index score of 4.1/5, ranking #16 among Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, design & build quality, display, while the most common criticisms concern design & build quality, storage & memory.

The Yoga Slim 7i (2024) is widely praised for its strong everyday and creative performance driven by Intel Core Ultra processors and improved integrated Intel Arc XE2 graphics, with roughly half of reviewers commenting on performance advantages and quiet, cool thermals. Reviewers frequently highlight a high-quality display—2.8K/2.8k and 120Hz or OLED options with excellent color accuracy and bright, vibrant images—which was mentioned in about as many reviews as performance. The laptop’s premium aluminum build, durable hinges with a 180° tilt, and compact, lightweight chassis earn consistent praise for feel and portability across many reviews. Reviewers also repeatedly call out an excellent Lenovo keyboard and large glass trackpad, good battery life, and strong audio and connectivity features such as Thunderbolt and Wi‑Fi 7 in multiple impressions.

Criticisms cluster around limited upgradability and soldered components, with numerous reviewers noting soldered RAM and only one M.2 SSD slot which restrict future upgrades. Several reviewers also find the design choices frustrating: the hinge only opens 180° (not 360°), the power button on the side is easily mispressed, and the webcam performs poorly in lower light. Some reviewers call out a step back in the touchpad implementation (non‑haptic, clicky or slippery feel) and note that port selection omits an SD card reader, while a smaller set mention that multi‑core performance and battery behavior under load can lag competition.
