XPS 16 (2026)

Reviewer verdict

Across 10 YouTube reviews, the Dell XPS 16 (2026) earns an Index score of 3.6/5, ranking #58 among Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, design & build quality, display, while the most common criticisms concern performance, keyboard & trackpad.

The Dell XPS 16 shines as a premium workstation for creative professionals, headlined by its stunning 4K+ OLED touch display with gorgeous, accurate colors and deep blacks. It delivers strong performance for demanding tasks like video editing and 3D rendering, thanks to powerful Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX graphics. This capability is housed in a sleek, durable CNC-machined aluminum chassis that feels exceptionally well-made. Despite its high-resolution screen and powerful internals, it offers impressive battery life, often lasting 9-10 hours during light productivity and media playback. Modern ports like Thunderbolt 4, a high-quality webcam, and a rich four-speaker audio system round out this well-balanced, portable powerhouse for creators on the move.

The XPS 16's bold design choices are its primary weakness, with a flat keyboard, borderless haptic touchpad, and capacitive function row that create a steep learning curve and frustrate many users. Its professional appeal is further hampered by a lack of legacy ports like USB-A and HDMI, a micro SD reader instead of a full-size slot, and non-upgradeable soldered RAM. While powerful, its performance is often capped by a low-wattage GPU and thermal throttling, causing it to lag behind competitors with similar specs. For its high price, these limitations in usability, connectivity, and peak performance are significant drawbacks.
