Reviewer verdict

Across 31 YouTube reviews, the Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni earns an Index score of 4.2/5, ranking #44 among Robot Vacuums. Reviewers most often praise its cleaning performance, maintenance, navigation, while the most common criticisms concern cleaning performance, navigation.

The Ecovacs X9 Pro Omni excels with its powerful, intelligent cleaning system. Reviewers frequently praise its strong suction and innovative Osmo Roller Mop, which scrubs floors effectively and self-cleans continuously to avoid spreading dirt. Its "Triple Lift" system intelligently raises the mop on carpets and brushes over wet spills, ensuring efficient, mess-free performance on mixed surfaces. This is complemented by the highly automated Omni Station, which handles everything from emptying the dustbin to washing and hot-air drying the mop, providing a truly hands-free experience. The effective ZeroTangle technology further reduces manual maintenance, making it a reliable choice for busy households, especially those with pets.

Despite its advanced hardware, the robot is let down by inconsistent software and navigation. The initial mapping process is frequently problematic, as the system gets easily confused by mirrors and glass, creating inaccurate maps that require tedious correction in the app's finicky editor. This can lead to hesitant pathing around obstacles and difficulty with thresholds. Furthermore, battery life diminishes quickly on higher power settings, often necessitating mid-job recharges. Some users also reported issues with the roller mop leaving streaks of dirty water, undermining its cleaning effectiveness and the overall hands-free promise.
