Across 28 YouTube reviews, the HP Victus 16 (2024) earns an Index score of 3.6/5, ranking #72 among Gaming PCs & Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, build quality, keyboard & trackpad (laptops), while the most common criticisms concern display, build quality.

The Victus 16 (2024) is repeatedly praised for strong overall performance, with many reviewers highlighting CPU and GPU capability for gaming, multitasking and content work (numerous mentions across performance and graphics). Reviewers also frequently commend its solid build and improved hinge/upgradability, noting minimal keyboard-deck flex and accessible RAM/SSD slots. Cooling and thermal management earn consistent positive notes for keeping temperatures and keyboard area comfortable during sustained loads. Other common positives include a 144 Hz FHD display for smooth gaming, good connectivity options (HDMI, USB‑C, SD), and respectable battery life and speakers mentioned by several reviewers.

Criticisms center most often on the display, with many reviewers calling out dimness, poor color accuracy, low color gamut and cases of screen wobble or large bezels that hurt visual quality. Build quality complaints appear frequently as well, especially the use of plastic, hinge stiffness or wobble, and overall chassis flex or heft. Reviewers also note limitations in performance for some demanding scenarios (occasional frame drops, needing to lower settings) and inconsistencies in audio/webcam/port expectations reported by multiple reviewers. Finally, a subset of reviewers point to loud fan noise under heavy load and concerns about VRAM limits for future‑proofing graphics performance.
