Reviewer verdict

Across 7 YouTube reviews, the HGLRC Veyron 35CR HD earns an Index score of 3.3/5, ranking #41 among FPV Drones. Reviewers most often praise its flight performance, build quality, features, while the most common criticisms concern flight performance, durability.

The Veyron 35CR HD is widely praised for its flight performance, with multiple reviewers (26 mentions) calling its handling calm, controlled, powerful and fun to fly — often highlighting the 1603 motors as efficient, quiet, and enabling longer distance and flight times. Reviewers also frequently compliment its build quality and thoughtful component selection (11 mentions), noting a neat, beefier frame, larger motors, and an overall well-specced appearance. Several reviewers appreciate features and ease of use (combined mentions across Features and Ease of Use), citing a smooth Betaflight setup, solid tune/PID characteristics, an F7 flight controller, room for action cameras, and user-friendly mounting and VTX integration. A few comments further praise durability in specific crashes, camera performance for cinematic use, and good battery life in lighter setups.

Criticisms center on durability and noise: reviewers repeatedly report fragile shrouds/struts and prop enclosures that can break in relatively minor impacts (8 mentions), and several note increased prop/duct noise from multi-blade setups and some loudness overall (9 mentions). Some reviewers also call out weight-related compromises and handling quirks — reduced agility, occasional wobble compared with other 35-class quads, and sensitivity when pushing with a heavy GoPro (multiple mentions across Flight Performance, Build Quality, and Battery Life). Additional complaints include issues with default configuration and features (tune/air mode/OSD not ideal), VTX/video limitations and range or transmission loss, and a desire for broader regional support for repairs.

Features (7)

Betaflight setup is absolutely lovely. Really nice setup and nice tune. Everything is buttery smooth. It's very easy to fly this smoothly to get that really nice footage if you're using a camera that doesn't have lots of stabilization inside. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 9:10
Pig tuning is really nice on this. It is incredibly smooth and easy to fly ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 4:15
This is more of what I wanted for a cine quad in this size in terms the power weight endurance ratio. It is a really easy one to fly smoothly and has loads of room for your action camera. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 11:15
This slightly bigger size will carry slightly bigger action cameras too, and with the multiple different mounts on it means that you've got lots of choice for that. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 7:18
The all-in-one board along with the 350 milliwatt vtx I really like. That vtx is small lightweight and works great. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 8:12

Durability (4)

the Veyron still flies perfectly despite these broken struts, and the frame's rigidity hasn't suffered ▶ HGLRC Veyron 35 und Aeolus 2105.5 Fazit! Footage vom Shootin @ 4:55
I really like the different color phones for protection ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 7:36
maybe handle more crashes ▶ HGLRC Veyron35CR Cinewhoop Review 🛸 @ 4:48
it comes with the option to put these phone guards on the outside getting used to flying if it's someone that's new into fpv this would definitely be something that would make them have a little bit more confidence necessarily because you're not going to be thinking that with your open props you're going to hit something and you're going to have to go replace your props right away with something of this platform you're going to be able to have the surety that you're going to be not having to replace props on a regular basis ▶ The HGLRC Veyron 35 pusher! (review) @ 2:51

Camera Quality (3)

performance from the camera is exactly what i'd expect out this rattle too. It is a fab camera. It's on loads of quads at the moment and it does work very well ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 6:02
first beautiful plan hope that I made a plan with precision of immersion despite the kippa stabilization or with the gopro hero 5 we still have something really clean ▶ Ça ne se passe jamais comme prévu - 1er vol en cinewhoop (dr @ 7:59

Cons (45)

Flight Performance (9)

Noise again is a little bit higher than you might want in some places. These multi-blade fans that everything seems to go for these days do give you a lot more thrust but you get all of the losses and all of the noise of those extra blades. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 8:20
the 1404 motors are more powerful ▶ More Flight Time? HGLRC Aeolus 1603 2800KV Endurance & Thrus @ 2:08

Durability (8)

Durability: well, considering the circumstances ▶ HGLRC Veyron 35 und Aeolus 2105.5 Fazit! Footage vom Shootin @ 5:11
I wasn't impressed with the fact that I have, even with my relatively gentle style of flying, did manage to break a shroud on this that took out a prop. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 10:37
the ducts didn't really have much, the struts of the TVA injection molding broke off in really small crashes ▶ HGLRC Veyron 35 und Aeolus 2105.5 Fazit! Footage vom Shootin @ 4:24
The shrouds on it are a little bit harder than I expected and obviously aren't designed to take any kind of abuse at all. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 7:00
These are potentially a little bit too rigid on here to survive a lot of damage. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 10:53
The only issue I had on mine is on one of the landings I didn't fit the foam outside on mine, it did unfortunately hit the ground and snap one of the enclosures for the props and that then destroyed the prop as well ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 6:37
Which unfortunately meant I had to kind of stick the shroud together with CA glue and replace the prop. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 6:52
When it lands, as soon as it lands if there's any kind of grass or gravel or anything, it's just going to get caught in the props and act like a little lawnmower. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 10:28

Build Quality (6)

I'm personally not a massive fan of the little nuts that hold these props on. It just feels like a very small amount of metal to hold the prop in place. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 9:46
I just got a Monday model or if it's always like this ▶ HGLRC Veyron 35 und Aeolus 2105.5 Fazit! Footage vom Shootin @ 4:33
I'm not a big fan of just using double-sided tape to put the foam pads on, although that kind of makes them removable, any moisture is going to interfere with that bond and you don't want anything coming loose near the props that's going to cause you a problem. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 9:31
the digital is like 295 grams ▶ HGLRC Veyron35CR Cinewhoop Review 🛸 @ 4:01

it's a pusher drone it's not a long range drone ... the vtx in the back is only going to shoot out at 350 milliwatts ▶ The HGLRC Veyron 35 FPV Drone is Amazing!!! Review @ 1:57

Ease of Use (4)

The other one that I'd recommend that you visit is the on-screen display tab. The osd tab, of course, is the one that everyone has their own particular preferences about and the default layout although it isn't bad isn't exactly how I have it. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 4:35
Modes will need a quick visit. There's not an awful lot set up in here, so I would come in and set it up to how you want ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 4:26
Because it is quite a flat quad, you are going to have to have something that's pretty flat to have it sat on to take off. Any blades of grass or anything in the field are going to stick through the blades so you need to have something flat. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 10:09
problem with dax which are out of adjustment so basically when I do that the drone and turns on itself and is reversed with the command ▶ Ça ne se passe jamais comme prévu - 1er vol en cinewhoop (dr @ 1:16

Battery Life (3)

I was hoping I'd be able to use these long range packs, but although it will fly for about 7 and a half 8 minutes tops on this 2200 4s battery, it's going to complain an awful lot of the time that you really really putting the battery under a lot of stress. It doesn't like the even the 20 amps that this thing's pulling out of it. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 5:37
I don't think you can get away with the kind of endurance level quads like the tattoo 2200s that just pulls the voltage down too far. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 11:28
the more you push this drone the more it's going to suck power due to the weight of the gopro up front ▶ The HGLRC Veyron 35 FPV Drone is Amazing!!! Review @ 12:01

Overall (2)

they still have a few flaws here and there ▶ HGLRC Veyron 35 und Aeolus 2105.5 Fazit! Footage vom Shootin @ 7:10

you do get more jello and vibrations on this setup ▶ HGLRC Veyron35CR Cinewhoop Review 🛸 @ 7:15
you're going to get more vibrations a little more jello coming through from the motors in the frame into the camera area ▶ HGLRC Veyron35CR Cinewhoop Review 🛸 @ 6:41

I would also like them to appoint somebody here in Europe so that if we do have a problem then it's easier to get it fixed. ▶ HGLRC Veyron35 CR Cinequad: Everything you want... almost @ 1:30
