Reviewer verdict

Across 4 YouTube reviews, the Samsung U7900 Series UHD 4K earns an Index score of 3.8/5, ranking #62 among TVs. Reviewers most often praise its picture quality, gaming features, design & build, while the most common criticisms concern picture quality, gaming features.

The Samsung U7900 Series UHD 4K is widely praised for its strong picture performance, with 21 mentions highlighting effective 4K upscaling from the Crystal 4K processor, vibrant color reproduction, good dynamic range and HDR support (including HDR10+ and HLG) and generally solid movie playback. Reviewers repeatedly note minimal blooming and good screen uniformity as well as surprisingly smooth motion handling for an entry-level model. Multiple reviewers also call out useful gaming features (VRR to 60Hz, ALLM, HGiG) and low input lag, convenient smart features and easy setup, and decent built-in audio that can integrate with Samsung soundbars via Q-Symphony. Across four independent reviews these strengths appear consistently, especially picture quality and upscaling, mentioned most often by reviewers.

Criticisms focus primarily on picture limitations: eight mentions point out the lack of Dolby Vision support, absence of local dimming which leads to grayish blacks and visible backlight in dark scenes, and a highly reflective screen that performs poorly in bright rooms. Reviewers also repeatedly note gaming limitations (four mentions) such as being limited to 60Hz and lack of 1440p/120Hz support for some consoles. Additional concerns appearing across reviews include basic, bass-light built-in audio, limited connectivity (only two HDMI ports and one USB), and low foot clearance preventing some soundbars from fitting underneath.
