Reviewer verdict

Across 29 YouTube reviews, the Bowflex Treadmill 22 earns an Index score of 4/5, ranking #65 among Treadmills. Reviewers most often praise its features, performance, tech integration, while the most common criticisms concern tech integration, value.

The Treadmill 22 is widely praised for being a high-end, feature-rich folding treadmill with a large immersive 22-inch HD touchscreen and extensive tech integration; roughly two dozen reviewers highlighted the console, JRNY connectivity, and streaming capabilities. Reviewers consistently note strong performance — a powerful motor, up to 12 mph top speed, and a wide incline/decline range (down to -5% and up to 20%) — as well as a roomy 22×60 inch running surface and Comfort Tech cushioning, which about three dozen reviewers mentioned for comfort. Many also cite solid build and durability (heavy, stable frame and high weight capacity up to 400 lb) and convenient extras like Bluetooth speakers, USB charging, storage racks and a cooling fan. Overall the praise clusters around advanced tech features, robust performance, roomy comfortable deck, and sturdy construction across the reviews provided.

Criticisms center heavily on the JRNY software and connectivity — reviewers repeatedly reported that the JRNY app is required for full functionality, can be glitchy, limits features without subscription, and has Bluetooth/pairing issues. Value concerns were common as well, with many reviewers calling the treadmill expensive and noting the additional cost of JRNY subscriptions; pricing and subscription pushback appeared across multiple reviews. Practical downsides mentioned by several reviewers include the treadmill's large size and heavy weight that makes it hard to move or fit in smaller spaces and some responsiveness/durability issues such as sticky buttons, occasional shaking, and occasional software hiccups. In short, reviewers praise hardware and features but frequently flag software reliability, subscription dependence, cost, and footprint as consistent drawbacks.
