Reviewer verdict

Across 22 YouTube reviews, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones earns an Index score of 4/5, ranking #15 among Over-Ear Headphones. Reviewers most often praise its noise cancellation, sound quality, features, while the most common criticisms concern features, sound quality.

The QuietComfort Ultra Headphones are widely praised for industry-leading active noise cancellation, a theme mentioned most often across reviews (51 mentions) with reviewers calling the ANC 'best in the industry' and noting excellent transparency/aware modes and wind handling. Comfort is another strong consensus (42 mentions): reviewers repeatedly describe the Ultra as extremely light, plush, and wearable for long sessions without fatigue. Sound quality also earns frequent compliments (40 mentions) for a balanced, detailed presentation with controlled bass, clear mids, and crisp highs. Reviewers additionally highlight a rich feature set (39 mentions) — including immersive/head‑tracking audio, ear detection, a responsive volume slider, and CustomTune — plus solid battery and connectivity features referenced across the dataset.

Criticism centers on interface and feature execution (28 mentions), with many reviewers frustrated by control placement, a learning curve for buttons, inconsistent volume slider behavior, and disappointments around immersive/spatial audio. Sound tuning and balance draw notable complaints (21 mentions), with some reviewers finding the bass overly heavy, mid/treble peaks or channel balance issues, and an out‑of‑the‑box tuning that may not suit everyone. Connectivity and wired‑use limitations (16 mentions) are recurring negatives — reviewers point out no USB‑C audio playback, lack of a passive wired mode when the battery is dead, and small annoyances with pairing/auto‑on. Other repeated downsides include mixed reports on comfort during intense movement, perceived high price/value concerns, and battery/charging limitations mentioned by several reviewers.
