Reviewer verdict

Across 9 YouTube reviews, the DJI Mini 4 Pro earns an Index score of 3.5/5, ranking #39 among FPV Drones. Reviewers most often praise its features, camera quality, ease of use, while the most common criticisms concern camera quality, ease of use.

The Mini 4 Pro is widely praised for packing an impressive feature set into a tiny, sub-250g package, with roughly two dozen mentions highlighting advanced tools like Cruise Control, Waypoints, ActiveTrack 360, hyperlapse, and onboard D-Log M. Reviewers also frequently commend the upgraded RC2 controller (brighter screen, better feel, audio input and external display support) and its professional-grade controls. The camera and gimbal receive strong positive comments for producing very high-quality 4K footage for the size, supporting 10-bit D-Log M, vertical shooting, and good low-light performance from the large f/1.7 aperture. Ease of use and safety features are repeatedly noted, especially the improved omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, helpful radar/compass UI, file management, and overall portability and quiet flight that make it beginner-friendly yet capable for advanced shots.

Criticisms concentrate on camera and sensor limitations despite the strong feature list: many reviewers note that zoom/digital zoom and the optional wide-angle attachment degrade sharpness or introduce distortion, and the small 1/1.3" sensor and single focal length leave image quality behind larger-sensor drones and mirrorless cameras. The obstacle-avoidance and vision sensors are also a recurring concern, with reviewers saying they struggle in low light, can miss fine obstacles or wires, and can behave unpredictably when flying low over water or when Eco Mode is engaged. Feature complaints include small internal storage (2GB), some unstable or less capable implementations of ActiveTrack/Cruise Control, and controller compatibility or indicator omissions; flight performance criticisms mention reduced wind handling, occasional bobbing, and real-world flight times that can be lower than advertised.
