Across 8 YouTube reviews, the Apple MacBook Air 15 (M3, 2024) earns an Index score of 3.6/5, ranking #51 among Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its performance, value for money, design & build quality, while the most common criticisms concern design & build quality, performance.
The MacBook Air 15 (M3, 2024) is repeatedly praised for its strong performance, with many reviewers (29 mentions) calling the M3 chip fast, snappy, and capable of handling everything from coding to 4K/8K editing and multitasking. Reviewers frequently highlight excellent battery life (14 mentions) that sustains all‑day use and fast charging, and they emphasize that this performance comes without noisy fans. Consensus also celebrates the larger 15‑inch Liquid Retina display, sturdy build, improved webcam and audio, and the Air’s lightweight, portable design (several aspects cited across 8 reviews) that together make it a high‑value, well‑balanced laptop for everyday and professional workflows.
Criticisms concentrate on the Air’s compromises for a larger model: limited port selection and connectivity (10 mentions) with only two Thunderbolt/USB‑C ports, no SD/HDMI, and restrictive external display options, and design complaints (15 mentions) about subtle color choices, the persistent notch, and some wobbly or fingerprint‑prone finishes. Reviewers also warn about thermal and sustained‑load limits tied to the fanless design and memory/storage constraints (11 and 4 mentions respectively), noting potential throttling or plugin crashes in heavy pro workflows and that base RAM and storage may be insufficient for power users.
