Reviewer verdict

Across 19 YouTube reviews, the Lefant M1 earns an Index score of 4.3/5, ranking #22 among Robot Vacuums. Reviewers most often praise its navigation, overall, maintenance, while the most common criticisms concern navigation, carpet cleaning.

The M1 is widely praised for its navigation and compact design, with reviewers (48 mentions) highlighting advanced sensors, LDS/DTOF mapping, strong obstacle and edge avoidance, and the ability to reach under furniture and through narrow spaces. Many reviewers (44 mentions) also compliment its overall compact, lightweight, and attractive design that fits tight spaces and looks modern. Maintenance and convenience features earn frequent praise (35 mentions) — reviewers note a generous 600 ml dust bin, washable HEPA filter, spare filters and brushes, tangle-resistant intake design, and generally easy-to-clean components. Ease of use and smart controls are commonly noted (28 mentions), with simple setup, responsive app and remote control, Wi‑Fi connectivity, and scheduling making the robot straightforward to run.

Criticisms focus mainly on limitations in mapping and carpet/mopping performance: multiple reviewers (15 mentions) report mapping or navigation edge-cases such as trouble with cords, socks, saved maps, or returning to dock, and a few said mapping is live-only or inconsistent. Carpet cleaning is a recurring weakness (11 mentions), with reviewers saying the lack of a main roller limits deep carpet agitation and carpet-boost effectiveness, making it best for hard floors. Reviewers also raised smaller usability issues (7 mentions) such as only supporting 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi and occasional app/connectivity hassles, and several noted the mopping is superficial without an onboard water tank.
