Reviewer verdict

Across 21 YouTube reviews, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra earns an Index score of 3.8/5, ranking #15 among Smartwatches. Reviewers most often praise its design & comfort, features, battery life, while the most common criticisms concern design & comfort, fitness tracking.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is repeatedly praised for its rugged, premium build and comfortable on-wrist feel, with many reviewers (75 mentions) highlighting titanium/stainless materials, sapphire crystal, and durable design that stands up to outdoor use. Reviewers also frequently applaud the renewed band system and straps (easy swapping, comfortable trail/marine bands) and the distinctive bezel/button design that gives the watch character. Other widely noted strengths include a very bright, sharp Super AMOLED display (28 mentions) and multi-day battery life that reliably lasts well beyond a single day for most users (27 mentions). Reviewers additionally call out extensive health, fitness, and software features (Features, Health Tracking, Software totals) plus smooth performance and responsive UI as consistent positives across reviews.

Criticisms center on the watch’s size, weight, and proprietary band/connector choices (36 design-related mentions), which reviewers say make it bulky, potentially uncomfortable for sleep, and limit backward compatibility with older 20mm bands. Fitness and health tracking receive mixed feedback (18 fitness, 12 health mentions), with several reviewers noting inaccurate or delayed heart-rate and GPS behavior in certain scenarios, including poor open-water GPS tracking. Battery charging speed and loss of reverse wireless charging are recurring complaints (17 mentions), and some reviewers find certain features and gestures unreliable or poorly implemented, while software/customization limitations and ecosystem caveats (12 mentions) reduce the experience for non‑Samsung phone users.

proprietary band mechanism...different from other smart watches ▶ Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra Review: Finally an Android Ultra! @ 12:51
the bands on the Galaxy watch Ultra are not like the bands on previous Galaxy watches so this is a proprietary band system that Samsung created very similar to what Apple has on their apple watches what that means is though because this system kind of Clips right into the bezel of the Galaxy watch Ultra on a very custom way custom fit clipping system you won't be able to easily just find any old watch band that you could put you know like a standard watch band strap the previous Galaxy watches all came with standard watch bands that you could switch out that would also fit a regular watch a non-smart watch which made it really easy to swap those out and purchase them on Amazon so you're going to have to buy either a Samsung band or I'm sure a lot of third party makers uh sex3 makers who make cases and things like that they'll start making some bands but that also means that the bands are likely going to be a little more expensive ▶ Galaxy Watch Ultra - 5 Important Problems To Understand Befo @ 1:02
