Reviewer verdict

Across 11 YouTube reviews, the Thinkware F70 earns an Index score of 4.1/5, ranking #29 among Dash Cams. Reviewers most often praise its features, mounting & installation, design & build quality, while the most common criticisms concern ease of use, features.

The Thinkware F70 stands out as a cost-effective and reliable dash cam. Reviewers consistently praise its clear 1080p Full HD video quality, enhanced by a 140-degree wide-angle lens and Wide Dynamic Range for solid performance day and night. Its durability is a key strength, featuring integrated thermal protection and supercapacitors instead of batteries, ensuring it operates safely in extreme temperatures. The available hardwired parking surveillance mode, which records on motion or impact, adds significant value for vehicle security. Described as simple to set up for basic use and packaged with helpful installation accessories, it's a highly recommended choice for budget-conscious buyers seeking dependable core functionality.

The primary drawbacks of the Thinkware F70 stem from its minimalist design and installation requirements. The lack of a built-in display means users must rely on a smartphone app for viewing footage and adjusting settings, which can be inconvenient. While basic plug-and-play installation is easy, unlocking its key parking surveillance features requires a more complex hardwiring installation that some users may find daunting. Furthermore, its feature set is limited compared to pricier models, and the video quality, while good for the price, has limitations, such as difficulty reading license plates on moving cars.
