Reviewer verdict
Across 13 YouTube reviews, the Dreame X30 Ultra earns an Index score of 4.4/5, ranking #14 among Robot Vacuums. Reviewers most often praise its maintenance, navigation, ease of use, while the most common criticisms concern maintenance, navigation.
Reviewers praise the X30 Ultra most for its extensive auto-maintenance base station and hands-free operation, a theme mentioned by many reviewers (39 mentions) who highlight features like automatic dust emptying into a long‑lasting bag, hot‑water mop washing and hot‑air drying, clean/dirty water tanks, and refill/refill automation. Navigation and mapping also receive strong, frequent praise (32 mentions) for advanced LiDAR/camera/AI obstacle detection, reliable room mapping, threshold‑crossing and tight obstacle avoidance. Users additionally liked ease of use and app control (26 mentions), powerful cleaning performance including edge/corner mopping and smart dirt detection (22 mentions), and strong suction and carpet handling features noted across several reviews. Overall reviewers commonly describe the X30 Ultra as a full‑featured, well‑rounded robot that minimizes manual intervention while delivering thorough hard‑floor and carpet cleaning.
Criticisms are fewer but recurring: several reviewers noted maintenance downsides (6 mentions) such as a dirty base station over time, frequent dirty‑water emptying, and limited brushes, and navigation/obstacle avoidance is not flawless (6 mentions), occasionally being overly cautious, snagging on items, or missing small objects in very dim light. Some smart features and software behaviors were flagged (6 mentions) — delayed or missing updates, limited voice assistant vocabulary, and quirks like docking/emptying behaviors tied to battery level — and several reviewers raised price and value concerns (5 mentions) calling the unit premium‑priced. A handful also reported average suction in bench tests, limitations on deep carpet cleaning, and some usability constraints around water/refill requirements.

- the x30 ultra functions a little bit differently and to our benefit. if your carpet is low pile then the x30 ultra will simply lift up the mop pad so they don't touch the carpet while it's vacuuming or if your carpet is high pile then you can go into the settings and set it so that the robot will actually go to the base remove its mopping pad automatically and then go back to the carpet so that it can vacuum it and then when it's done it'll go back to the base station again attach the mops back automatically and it can go back and do its mopping again ▶ Let AI Clean Your Home - Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo of @ 4:51

Pet Hair Removal (9)
- its basic vacuuming ability, because there was a big change with the X50 Ultra there from previous versions, and that is its new duo brush system, which is a one-piece dual roller module that is tapered at one end, which allows hair to be channeled to that side to prevent tangles. ▶ Dreame X50 Ultra REVIEW - I Like This One! @ 1:01
