Reviewer verdict

Across 11 YouTube reviews, the Acer Aspire Vero 15 (2024) earns an Index score of 3.8/5, ranking #40 among Laptops. Reviewers most often praise its design & build quality, performance, keyboard & trackpad, while the most common criticisms concern display, performance.

The Aspire Vero 15 (2024) is widely praised for its eco-conscious design and solid build, with reviewers repeatedly noting recycled materials, durable chassis, unique speckled finish and mil-spec rigidity (mentioned across many reviews). Performance and responsiveness are frequently highlighted as strengths, with reviewers reporting snappy everyday performance, capable Intel processors, and smooth multitasking and light editing across most reviews. The keyboard and large glass trackpad receive consistent positive remarks for tactile, comfortable typing and accurate tracking, while connectivity, sustainability features (recycled packaging, ocean-bound plastics, reduced CO2 claims) and generally usable display and battery life are also commonly commended. Several reviewers also appreciated maintainability and upgradability (standard screws, easy access, replaceable trackpad) and above-average I/O for the price point.

Critics most often point to the display as a weak spot, describing it as dim, washed-out or limited in color and brightness and noting low peak nits and 60Hz behavior across multiple reviews. Performance complaints appear in a minority of reviews, mostly around the limits of integrated Iris graphics, lack of discrete GPU options and some who would prefer more CPU cores or different silicon. Battery capacity and charging choices drew criticism from several reviewers for relatively small cells, limited USB-C charging and mediocre real-world runtimes, and build criticisms (chassis flex, plastic feel) and speaker shortcomings were also mentioned by a subset of reviewers. Additional common negatives include limited RAM expansion (soldered memory/one slot), absence of an SD card reader, and occasional fan/thermal noise or bottom heat under load.
