The Alloy Rise 75 is consistently praised for its modular feature set and customization, with many reviewers (41 mentions) highlighting magnetic top plates, hot-swappable switches, multiple connectivity modes (USB-C wired, 2.4 GHz dongle, Bluetooth), and a dedicated rotary volume control. Reviewers frequently note strong battery life and lighting features (reported up to 80 hours with backlight or 1,500 hours without) and an ambient light sensor that adapts RGB brightness. The keyboard’s build and typing feel also receive regular compliments, including a gasket-mounted design, factory-lubed HyperX linear switches, PBT keycaps, and overall premium construction (multiple mentions across build, switches, and keycap quality). Several reviewers emphasize that these features make the board a versatile, high-end option for gamers and enthusiasts alike.

Criticisms center on value and execution of customization, with many reviewers (10–8 mentions) saying the badge/frame customization feels premature, limited, or overpriced and that accessories are not yet widely available. Some reviewers report practical issues with the magnetic cover design (cover can fall off or be awkward to lift) and a stiff switch removal process, plus nitpicks about the volume dial’s detents and the caps lock indicator placement. Price concerns recur, with multiple comments that the keyboard may feel expensive for what it offers and branded extras or replacement parts add further cost.

  • I didn't immediately notice the RGB underneath the keyboard until a few days into this review and I would like to think that the visibility of said lights is for you but they are just for your land friends to see they're appealing if you could see them but they don't even light up enough or point at a good enough angle to show on your desk as underglow so it's a pretty empty selling point in my opinion ▶ HyperX Alloy Rise Keyboard Review - Fun Customization Option @ 11:01
  • the lackluster attention to detail regarding the USB cable and cable mounting area is just frustrating it just seems tossed in rather than integrated into the look and feel of the alloy rise ▶ HyperX Alloy Rise Keyboard Review - Fun Customization Option @ 10:31
