Reviewer verdict
Across 8 YouTube reviews, the AOC Agon PRO AG456UCZD earns an Index score of 4.2/5, ranking #14 among Gaming Monitors. Reviewers most often praise its image quality, features, design & build quality, while the most common criticisms concern size & resolution, image quality.
The Agon PRO AG456UCZD is widely praised for its exceptional image quality, with many reviewers (30 mentions) highlighting vivid colors, deep blacks, high brightness and strong HDR performance on its OLED/QD-OLED panel. Reviewers also frequently note a rich feature set (21 mentions) — including OLED panel benefits, built-in speakers, remote control, picture-in-picture/PBP, pixel-moving screensaver and a KVM — that enhances both gaming and productivity. Design and build quality receive strong agreement (21 mentions) for a sleek, premium aesthetic, sturdy stand, RGB lighting and solid construction. Gaming-focused capabilities (20 mentions), such as adaptive sync/G-Sync/FreeSync support, low input lag and game modes, are repeatedly called out for delivering smooth, responsive play.
Criticisms cluster around the monitor’s large physical size and lower pixel density for its screen area (11 mentions), with many reviewers calling it bulky, heavy and noting that 1440p on a 45-inch panel can make text and UI elements look less sharp. Reviewers also raise OLED-specific concerns (8 mentions) about burn-in and required power-off or maintenance routines, plus occasional edge flickering in HDR and very dark scenes. Some small negatives were reported about cable management and the monitor’s footprint or stand (5 mentions), and a few reviewers mentioned interface/usability and connectivity nitpicks such as onboard audio quality and default USB-C power settings (4 mentions).
