The 12 Pro+ is repeatedly praised for its camera system, with many reviewers (68 mentions) highlighting strong main and periscope zoom performance, good night mode results, reliable stabilization and usable selfies. Battery life and charging are another common highlight (33 mentions), with several reviewers reporting long runtimes and fast charging speeds included in the box.
Criticisms concentrate on camera shortcomings despite the overall praise (52 mentions), including waxy fine-detail rendition, limitations around zoom and 4K/60fps or ultrawide video, and uneven ultrawide/front camera quality. Performance is also a recurrent concern (35 mentions), with reviewers noting the mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 2/related chips can struggle in heavy games, produce heat under load and cause occasional frame drops. Design and software complaints appear as well (15 and 14 mentions), from polycarbonate/plastic framing and fragile curved display concerns to bloatware, confusing chipset naming and shorter-than-expected software update promises. Display and audio issues are mentioned by several reviewers (10 and 8 mentions), including inconsistent HDR playback/brightness behavior and only average speaker quality.
